Electronic Current Therapy Reduces Pet Arthritis Pain and Depression
Tuxedo is considered as a loving adorable little guy. In his younger days, he was very active and seemed to enjoy the training that we did together, including running and going through tunnels. Aside from being adorable, Tuxedo gave me feats since he was such a pro at making messes and destroying things at my apartment such as couch pillows, designer shoes, expensive throw rugs. Name it. He would attack it if it was within Tuxedo’s reach or he was able to jump onto a piece of furniture. Pet Chiropractic
When Tuxedo destroyed a very sentimental item from my childhood, I sat down the computer to look for answers online. What causes this dog to be hyper? What was it that torments this little soul to cause such messes each day and cost me so much? Oh, how I longed for Tuxedo to have a sense of calm and peacefulness.
As Tuxedo grew older, he did calm down a bit. But then, he appears to pick up a new trouble. I noticed symptoms of Tuxedo having stiff joints. I sat down at the computer again, searching further for a list of signs and symptoms that might give me a firm answer since I wasn’t sure if he was in pain or not. I hated the idea of him being in pain and wanted to do whatever I could do make sure he was comfortable.
Tuxedo’s stiffness meant trouble getting around. During the day, he cannot perform the small set of doggy steps next to my bed to reach his favorite spot to nap in the sunshine. I wondered if he might be depressed and it broke my heart.
And again, I find myself researching online. It sure is better than searching in our local libraries, which were limited. I discovered Midwest Microcurrent, a veterinary clinic that uses electronic current (also known as cranial electrotherapy stimulation) to reduce or eliminate many symptoms that pets might suffer from while searching for what might be troubling Tuxedo and how we could resolve the issues,
Our initial appointment with Dr. Ava Frick and her team provided a diagnosis of canine arthritis and depression for Tuxedo. Being alarmed upon hearing this, I was then alleviated to know that with the diagnosis in hand, we were ready to move forward on a journey toward treatment.
Dr. Frick explained that, once we began Alpha-Stim microcurrent treatments at her office, I could continue Tuxedo’s treatment sessions at home by purchasing our own Alpha-Stim machine. This will free me from the one-hour drive to the clinic everyday.
I am thankful to Dr, Frick and the staff at Midwest Microcurrent for giving the old Tuxedo back to me. Equine Arthritis
